Salesforce Substitution Management allows brands to manage planned (e. g. vacation, training) and unplanned absences (e. g. sickness) of field users to ensure that important stores are served during the absence of the user. Key features of Substitution Management give brands the ability to:

- Setup customer-based substitution rules by the supervisor
- The system creates temporary customer management relation for the substitute to provide access to the account during the substitution time frame
- Synchronizing substituted customers and related data during the substitution time frame to the mobile device
